At least three Nebraska lawmakers want to send a message to the federal government:
Butt out of state business.
Next year they will see if a majority of their colleagues agrees.
The senators are working on resolutions asserting Nebraska's sovereignty under the 10th Amendment of the Constitution.

NATIONAL HEALTH SCARE

When I read the brief on what was contained in the National Health Care bill that is now being presented before Congress, I could not believe I was reading something that was actually being considered in the United States of America. This is not about money or government mismanagement—this is about something far more diabolical than that. As incomprehensible as it may seem, this is about euthanasia, the power to determine who lives or dies in America. Hitler and Stalin would have loved to have had a means such as this for dispatching the millions they killed—it would have made their job much easier, and probably given them the ability to kill many more than they did. THIS BILL IS THAT SINISTER. This is not a joke—this is actually the nature of what is being proposed in the National Health Care legislation, and it is the obvious reason why the Obama Administration wants to ram it through Congress before anyone gets a chance to read it.
I have resolved to always be as generous as I can toward people with opposing views of my own. I do this because I believe it is the mandate of I Corinthians 13 to always believe the best about people, rather than the worst. I know this opens me up to be misled by some, but I consider that a small price to pay to not become cynical. I also do it because I think it is wise to always try and understand the position of my opponents—to be open to consider their positions and not be too rigid or inflexible to change because we all “see in part,” and “know in part.” Because of this, I have been chided for being too generous by giving those I do challenge grace by believing that they had not thought through the consequences of their proposals, or had other good intentioned reasons for doing what they were doing. However, after reading the brief on this health care bill, I don’t see how anyone could not see that there is profound evil and evil intent at work here. I just do not see any way to be any more generous with those who proposed this bill than that. It is that bad.
This bill is obviously designed to put the authority to determine who lives and dies in America into the hands of government bureaucrats. As outrageous as that seems, it is true—you can read it yourself. It even gives the government access to all of your accounts, and the authority to make withdrawals. I know this is hard to believe, but you can read it yourself.
Do you want a government bureaucrat to determine if your mother or father can receive treatment, even in life and death cases? Would you want a government bureaucrat to determine if your child, or you, could receive treatment, even when it means life or death? Think of the best experience that you ever had working with a government bureaucrat, and then think about them having the power to make a potentially life or death choice for your child, your parents, or for you. This is actually what is being proposed.
Add to that chilling thought the fact that this bureaucrat does not have to know one thing about medicine to be in that position. In fact, this bill proposes letting the government define what quality health care is and impose that definition on health care workers. Nowhere does it even specify what training, expertise, or qualifications this all-powerful government bureaucrat has to have to be placed in the position to make such ultimate decisions for the health, well-being, and even the lives of Americans.
Am I being too hard on bureaucrats, or the Obama Administration’s intentions? Certainly there are many bureaucrats who are sincere and true public servants. I agree that such are deserving of our appreciation and respect. The modern world could not exist without them. Think of the most noble and conscientious there are. What kind of position would we be putting them in to have to go to work every day and decide who is going to get treatment, who is going to have to go on a waiting list and for how long, and who are they going to have to just let die?
Who could live with such a job? There are many who could, who would just see it as paperwork, and those are the ones who would be in that position because the truly noble ones could not endure it. Hitler found many who could dispatch thousands each day, and then go home and enjoy their own families at night. There are people with that kind of moral disconnect. These jobs will be filled and by the very ones we would never want in such positions.
It is beyond anything I thought I would ever see in my lifetime that such a bill could ever be seriously considered in the U.S. Congress. This bill has the potential for totalitarian control to be imposed on America to a degree that Hitler and Stalin could not have even imagined. With the technology available now, totalitarian control can very quickly be imposed to a degree far beyond what was attained by either the Nazis or the Communists, and this bill has provisions in it for just that. It mandates the sharing of all of your personal information, from just about every conceivable source, with the new health care bureaucracy being set up to implement this national health care system. The penalties for trying to escape this web are serious. This would actually make America into a national concentration camp, and we can be sure that ultimately it will be a national death camp. I will NOT unite
I'm not against America.
I have noted that many elected officials, both Democrats and Republicans, called upon America to unite behind Obama.
Well, I want to make it clear to all who will listen that I AM NOT uniting behind Obama!
I will respect the Office which he holds, and I will acknowledge his abilities as an orator and wordsmith and pray for him, BUT that is it. I have begun today to see what I can do to make sure that he is a one-term President!
Why am I doing this? It is because I do not share Obama's vision or value system for America; I do not share his radical Marxist's concept of re-distributing wealth; I do not share his stated views on raising taxes on those who make $150,000+ (the ceiling has been changed three times since August); I do not share his view that America is arrogant; I do not share his view that America is not a Christian Nation; I do not share his view that the military should be reduced by 25%; I do not share his view of amnesty and giving more to illegals than American Citizens who need help; I do not share his views on homosexuality and his definition of marriage; I do not share his views that Radical Islam is our friend and Israel is our enemy who should give up any land;
Besides, he has no clue that God's chosen people is Israel and we are to bless them, not take away from them. Those that curse Israel are cursed by God. Those that bless Israel , are blessed by God. Pray for His people.
I do not share his spiritual beliefs (at least the ones he has made public); I do not share his beliefs on how to re-work the healthcare system in America ; I do not share his Strategic views of the Middle East, and certainly do not share his plan to sit down with terrorist regimes such as Iran .
Bottom line, my America is vastly different from Obama's, and I have a higher obligation to my Country and my God to do what is right! For eight (8) years, the Liberals in our society, led by numerous entertainers who would have no platform and no real credibility but for their celebrity status, have attacked President Bush, his family, and his spiritual beliefs! They have not moved toward the center in their beliefs and their philosophies, and they never came together nor compromised their personal beliefs for the betterment of our country! They have portrayed my America as a land where everything is tolerated except being intolerant! They have been a vocal and irreverent minority for years; they have mocked and attacked the very core values so important to the founding and growth of our Country! They have made every effort to remove the name of God or Jesus Christ from our society! They have challenged capital punishment, the right to bear firearms, and the most basic principles of our criminal code; they have attacked one of the most fundamental of all Freedoms, the right of free speech!
Unite behind Obama? Never!
I am sure many of you who read this think that I am going overboard, but I refuse to retreat one more inch in favor of those whom I believe are the embodiment of evil!
PRESIDENT BUSH made many mistakes during his Presidency, and I am not sure how history will judge him.
However, I believe that he weighed his decisions in light of the long established Judeo-Christian principles of our Founding Fathers!!! Majority rules in America , and I will honor the concept; however, I will fight with all of my power to be a voice in opposition to Obama and "his goals for America ." I am going to be a thorn in the side of those who, if left unchecked, will destroy our country!! Any more compromise is more defeat! I pray that the results of this election will wake up many who have sat on the sidelines and allowed the Socialist-Marxist anti-God crowd to slowly change so much of what has been good in America !

Dear Mr. President,
Hear! O hear the petitioning voice of millions upon millions of Americans who stand united. Our grievances and afflictions are too much for American citizens to endure without complaint and without action.
We, the citizens of the United States, are seeing our sacred rights – granted to us through Providential inspirings and bestowals – restricted and revoked. We are seeing our freedoms and our liberties – which were bought and paid for by the blood of our noble Patriots – limited, denied, and taken. We are seeing our Constitution – the precious pearl of our government – being cast down and trampled upon by the calloused and hurried hooves of beastly indifference and irreverence.
We are seeing our hard-earned tax money squandered in the amounts of hundreds and thousands of billions of dollars, totaling trillions. We are groaning under this heavy hand of tyranny and oppression. We therefore imploringly stretch forth our hands towards the highest councils of our nation and demand redress of these abuses and usurpations of our rights, our liberties, and of our freedoms.
For too long Mr. President, politicians have used party affiliations and social issues to divide us as a nation.
But let the unmistakable rumblings from the Giant of Silence, who is now gathering its forces, organizing, and raising its voice that will be heard as well as felt, be a clear warning of what you have stirred and awakened. This Tea Party Movement – the largest grassroots movement in the history of this country – is only the beginning! The participants have come from every political party – we are Independents, we are Republicans, we are Democrats, we are from all parties and from no party at all, and we are all ablaze with the passion of protectionism of our freedoms, of our rights, and of our Constitution!
We stand united. We stand united in principle and in purpose.
We stand united against the undisciplined spending, waste, and corruption.
We stand united against the unconstitutional bail-outs and soaring deficits.
We stand united against the abuse of governmental power and its unrestraint.
We stand united against the ever-expanding government and its ever-expanding intervention.
We stand united against the drift to and the doles of Socialism – whether in whole or in part.
We stand united against the injustice and the blatant disregard of our rights as citizens.
We stand united against the dismantling and desecration of our Constitution.
We stand united against the lack of real concern for the future of America.
In whole, we stand united against the self-righteous attitudes and the coercive maneuvers of big government imposing standards that most Americans DO NOT approve of!
Our rallying cry to you is that this nation’s greatness cannot be maintained when the freedoms and liberties of its people are unconstitutionally denied and taken by its government, and when government abuses its proper role and its privileges. These grievous governmental interventions and meddling are taking us down dangerous and destructive paths.
Political economist Frederick Bastiat once said of this, “It is impossible to introduce into society... a greater evil than this; the conversion of the law into the instrument of plunder.” (The Law, Bastiat, p 12) We want so desperately to work freely and fairly together, but we ask you, how tight will these oppressive chains become? The inescapable consequences of your overzealous federal agencies (many of which are unconstitutional) and your programs and policies will reach far into our future. Sadly, it is not only us, but it is our children, and our children’s children as well, who will find themselves enslaved, bound to the relentless servitude of national debts and programs and policies that have been so forcefully shackled upon us. Demonstrably, in your rampant pursuit of progress and power, you have shown us little mercy and given us virtually no say in these matters or in our future.
No president in the history of this nation has ever squandered so much of this nations wealth, plundered so much of its future, and diminished so much of its Constitutional greatness in such a short period of time. Clearly, you have overstepped your bounds and at times carelessly abused your powers and your privileges. Mr. President, you must never forget your place. You are nothing more than a servant unto this people. It would be well to remember that the Federal government itself holds absolutely no power or authority to do anything its people do not bestow. We must remind you that the Constitution clearly explains that the primary function and role of government is to secure the rights and freedoms of its people – the heart and soul of this great nation – and anything more than this is usurpation and oppression.
By constitutional decree, you simply cannot meddle in areas where government is strictly prohibited. So contrary to any personal agenda or campaign slogan, the truth is, “No…you can’t!”
History can teach us great things. A wise person, and a wise nation, will listen to those who have already worn out both their soles and their souls treading the paths of experience through trials and tribulations. These great forbearers have already born great pains, learned great lessons, and can thereby teach us great wisdom.
President Herbert Hoover once said of the Great Depression, “Economic depression cannot be cured by legislative action or executive pronouncement[!] Economic wounds must be healed by the action of the cells of the economic body – the producers and consumers themselves. Recovery can be expedited and its effects mitigated by cooperative action... The best contribution of government lies in the encouragement of the voluntary cooperation in the community.”(Memoirs of Herbert Hoover, Vol 3, The Great Depression, 1929- 1941, pg 429-430)
We believe in this “voluntary cooperation.” We believe in serving our neighbors as well as serving our country. We believe our government owes us nothing and we do not seek to receive that which we have not earned. We believe the happiest and most productive people on earth are those who enjoy the most freedoms and liberties.
We therefore believe the absolute best policy is to leave private industry (and our private lives as well) with their freedoms and privileges of setting their own course, solving their own problems, and operating and conducting themselves with little to no governmental intervention or control. The American free enterprise system was designed to work best when left to its own inspiration, determination, and by the sweat of its own brow and by the labor from its own hands. Thomas Jefferson once declared, “A wise and frugal government shall leave [men]... free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it had earned. This is the sum of good government.” (Jefferson, Thomas, First Inaugural, 1801)
These are fundamental God-given rights of self-reliance and prosperity, and the same of which our Founding Fathers so strongly believed, established, and fought so hard to defend.
Henry Grady Weaver wrote, “Most of the major ills of the world have been caused by well-meaning people who ignored the principle of individual freedom, except as applied to themselves, and who are obsessed with fanatical zeal to improve the lot of mankind-in-the-mass through some pet formula of their own... The harm done by ordinary criminals, murders, gangsters, and thieves is negligible in comparison with the agony inflicted upon human beings by the professional ‘Do-Gooders’, who attempt to set themselves up as gods on earth and who would ruthlessly force their views on all others – with the abiding assurance that the end justifies the means.” (The Mainspring of Human Progress, Weaver, p 40-41)
It is not you Mr. President that makes this nation great; although the Office has its place. It is not America’s soil; although by the richness of its harvest it is considered to be the world’s breadbasket. It is not America’s industry; although it produces the major part of the world’s best products and services. It is not America’s Democratic government itself; although it is the Ensign to all nations and by which all others are compared.
No, it is America’s people. It is their ingenuity. It is their strength, their courage and their hard work. It is their sacrifice and their passion. It is their charity – the most charitable country in the history of the world. But above all, it is their love. It is their love of freedom, of liberty, of equality, and of justice. It is its people and their love of goodness and of God which makes this nation so great.
We are the people of this great nation and hereby stand today like the patriots of old who stood at the harbors of Boston. We stand united and unwilling to allow being unfairly taxed, unfairly treated, and unfairly represented. We are seeing our tax money shipped off to the coffers of corruptible empires. We are seeing the unwanted cargo of debt and Socialism forcefully off-loaded against our will. We are seeing a tide of unconstitutional abuse of governmental power, which has been intrusive and oppressive to our lives. We are seeing a pilferage of our fortunes and of our properties; and we are seeing a shameful dishonoring of our sacred honor. We therefore plead with the captains of our country for justice and for freedom, and demand that you turnabout your invading ships from our shores.
Mr. President you must stop and listen to the people. You must listen to the voice of those who have gone before and of those who are here now. Many of your ideals, feelings, and agendas ARE NOT in line with the majority of people of this nation. You cannot simply strong-arm us into submission by one-sided solutions and then force us to do all the sacrificing.
Admittedly, we are at a unique time in our history, a time of great crisis and great opportunity. Indeed, we are faced with tremendous challenges and almost endless problems that need to be solved. But there is hope. There are solutions. America is still great and can still have a great future because we believe that “great things happen in America under great hardships.” (Contreras, Janet, The Letter)

Freedom is truly what America stands for and what we are so willing to fight for. Tragically however, our freedoms are being eroded and thus our foundation as well. Stop trying to control us and everything about us. Stop trying to make every decision for us. Stop trying to be something you are not. Stop trying to subject us to your will and to every whim of your doctrine and your philosophy. Fulfill your oath and “faithfully execute” your office and obligations as President by doing all you can to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States,” for that is all we ask of you and nothing more. Let there be no mistake about it, we need good government. We need honorable, moral and ethical leaders who will sustain and be integral parts of such governments. America must not be weakened by its leadership, it must be strengthened by it. We need order and we need law. But for the most part, we, as American citizens, can do so much more if government would just get out of our way!
Respectfully Sir, our message to you, and to any governmental body or person who performs outside of Constitutional bounds, is clear and our pledge is the same:
Get out of our businesses! And let us again be happy in our pursuits of self-reliance and self- regulation.

Dear Mr. President,
Hear! O hear the petitioning voice of millions upon millions of Americans who stand united. Our grievances and afflictions are too much for American citizens to endure without complaint and without action.
We, the citizens of the United States, are seeing our sacred rights – granted to us through Providential inspirings and bestowals – restricted and revoked. We are seeing our freedoms and our liberties – which were bought and paid for by the blood of our noble Patriots – limited, denied, and taken. We are seeing our Constitution – the precious pearl of our government – being cast down and trampled upon by the calloused and hurried hooves of beastly indifference and irreverence.
We are seeing our hard-earned tax money squandered in the amounts of hundreds and thousands of billions of dollars, totaling trillions. We are groaning under this heavy hand of tyranny and oppression. We therefore imploringly stretch forth our hands towards the highest councils of our nation and demand redress of these abuses and usurpations of our rights, our liberties, and of our freedoms.
For too long Mr. President, politicians have used party affiliations and social issues to divide us as a nation.
But let the unmistakable rumblings from the Giant of Silence, who is now gathering its forces, organizing, and raising its voice that will be heard as well as felt, be a clear warning of what you have stirred and awakened. This Tea Party Movement – the largest grassroots movement in the history of this country – is only the beginning! The participants have come from every political party – we are Independents, we are Republicans, we are Democrats, we are from all parties and from no party at all, and we are all ablaze with the passion of protectionism of our freedoms, of our rights, and of our Constitution!
We stand united. We stand united in principle and in purpose.
We stand united against the undisciplined spending, waste, and corruption.
We stand united against the unconstitutional bail-outs and soaring deficits.
We stand united against the abuse of governmental power and its unrestraint.
We stand united against the ever-expanding government and its ever-expanding intervention.
We stand united against the drift to and the doles of Socialism – whether in whole or in part.
We stand united against the injustice and the blatant disregard of our rights as citizens.
We stand united against the dismantling and desecration of our Constitution.
We stand united against the lack of real concern for the future of America.
In whole, we stand united against the self-righteous attitudes and the coercive maneuvers of big government imposing standards that most Americans DO NOT approve of!
Our rallying cry to you is that this nation’s greatness cannot be maintained when the freedoms and liberties of its people are unconstitutionally denied and taken by its government, and when government abuses its proper role and its privileges. These grievous governmental interventions and meddling are taking us down dangerous and destructive paths.
Political economist Frederick Bastiat once said of this, “It is impossible to introduce into society... a greater evil than this; the conversion of the law into the instrument of plunder.” (The Law, Bastiat, p 12) We want so desperately to work freely and fairly together, but we ask you, how tight will these oppressive chains become? The inescapable consequences of your overzealous federal agencies (many of which are unconstitutional) and your programs and policies will reach far into our future. Sadly, it is not only us, but it is our children, and our children’s children as well, who will find themselves enslaved, bound to the relentless servitude of national debts and programs and policies that have been so forcefully shackled upon us. Demonstrably, in your rampant pursuit of progress and power, you have shown us little mercy and given us virtually no say in these matters or in our future.
No president in the history of this nation has ever squandered so much of this nations wealth, plundered so much of its future, and diminished so much of its Constitutional greatness in such a short period of time. Clearly, you have overstepped your bounds and at times carelessly abused your powers and your privileges. Mr. President, you must never forget your place. You are nothing more than a servant unto this people. It would be well to remember that the Federal government itself holds absolutely no power or authority to do anything its people do not bestow. We must remind you that the Constitution clearly explains that the primary function and role of government is to secure the rights and freedoms of its people – the heart and soul of this great nation – and anything more than this is usurpation and oppression.
By constitutional decree, you simply cannot meddle in areas where government is strictly prohibited. So contrary to any personal agenda or campaign slogan, the truth is, “No…you can’t!”
History can teach us great things. A wise person, and a wise nation, will listen to those who have already worn out both their soles and their souls treading the paths of experience through trials and tribulations. These great forbearers have already born great pains, learned great lessons, and can thereby teach us great wisdom.

Obama Care (oxymoron)

Don't Take My Word for It, Here's Obama And Other Proponents of Government-Run Health Care In Their Own Words...
Earlier this year, the New York Times Sunday Magazine published a lengthy interview with Obama in which the President gave the American people a small taste of what he envisions for health care reform.
Consider what Obama said: "Part of what I think government can do effectively is to be an honest broker in assessing and evaluating treatment options."
Translation: Government bureaucrats will call the shots. Both you and your doctor will be shut out from determining appropriate treatment.
If that doesn't worry you, the President elaborated further: "The chronically ill and those toward the end of their lives are accounting for potentially 80 percent of the total health care bill..."
"There is going to have to be a conversation that is guided by doctors, scientists, ethicists. And then there is going to have to be a very difficult democratic conversation that takes place."
Just what do you think Obama's talking about here? These are scary times if you're chronically ill or over the age of 55.
If you have diabetes or high blood pressure or multiple sclerosis - or are diagnosed with heart disease or cancer - your future doesn't look very bright based on the President's comments above.
If the feds determine you're costing more than you're worth, well, it's been nice knowing you.
Even Obama's top health advisers have emphasized that America should value the lives of young, healthy people more than those of old, sick individuals.
One such adviser is Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, brother of Obama's pit-bull chief-of-staff Rahm Emanuel. Kevin Williamson of National Review Online describes Dr. Emanuel's views:
"He wrote in The Lancet in 2008: 'Unlike allocation by sex or race, allocation by age is not invidious discrimination.' We all were young once, the argument goes, and so denying the elderly and weak in order to care for the young and fit is just."
Does that sound "just" to you? And, Obama claims that his health plan won't involve rationing or reduced care. But that's ridiculous, because all government-run health systems suffer from those drawbacks.
In fact, government-run health care supporters in Congress have already made a down payment on rationed care.
Specifically, 1.1 billion has already been appropriated as part of the disastrous "stimulus bill" for so-called "comparative effectiveness research."
What is "comparative effectiveness research?"
Congressman David Obey (D - Wisconsin), Chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, explained it in his committee's report: "...those items, procedures, and interventions... that are found to be less effective and in some cases, more expensive, will no longer be prescribed."
What happened to America being a Republic that promises to safeguard the God-given rights of "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?"
Remember, Obama voted to deny medical attention to a baby born alive following an abortion. He has no morals and will deny medical attention for you, your child, your parents and your grandparents.
Call your Democrat Senator and Congressperson today. The one thing all Democrats fear is the thought of losing the next election. Tell them you do not want the government involved in Health Care.
If you think we have health care problems now, just wait till the government takes control. Have you been to your local post office lately to buy a stamp? The government can not sell stamps in a timely fashion.
Thanks to Obama and the Democrats, we now face the most dangerous attempt of our history to destroy our rights of "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?"

Dinner with Obama
Once upon a time, I was invited to the White House for a private dinner with the President. I am a respected businessman, with a factory that produces memory chips for computers and portable electronics. There was some talk that my industry was being scrutinized by the administration, but I paid it no mind. I live in a free country. There's nothing that the government can do to me if I've broken no laws. My wealth was earned honestly, and an invitation to dinner with an American President is an honor.
I checked my coat, was greeted by the Chief of Staff, and joined the President in a yellow dining room. We sat across from each other at a table draped in white linen. The Great Seal was embossed on the china. Uniformed staff served our dinner. The meal was served, and I was startled when my waiter suddenly reached out, plucked a dinner roll off my plate, and began nibbling it as he walked back to the kitchen.
"Sorry about that," said the President. "Andrew is very hungry."
"I don't appreciate..." I began, but as I looked into the calm brown eyes across from me, I felt immediately guilty and petty.. It was just a dinner roll. "Of course," I concluded, and reached for my glass. Before I could, however, another waiter reached forward, took the glass away and swallowed the wine in a single gulp.
"And his brother Eric is very thirsty." said the President.
I didn't say anything. The President is testing my compassion, I thought. I will play along. I don't want to seem unkind. My plate was whisked away before I had tasted a bite.
"Eric's children are also quite hungry."
With a lurch, I crashed to the floor. My chair had been pulled out from under me. I stood,brushing myself off angrily, and watched as it was carried from the room.
"And their grandmother can't stand for long."
I excused myself, smiling outwardly, but inside feeling like a fool. Obviously I had been invited to the White House to be sport for some game. I reached for my coat, to find that it had been taken. I turned back to the President.
"Their grandfather doesn't like the cold."
I wanted to shout - that was my coat! But again, I looked at the placid smiling face of my host and decided I was being a poor sport. I spread my hands helplessly and chuckled. Then I felt my hip pocket and realized my wallet was gone. I excused myself and walked to a phone on an elegant side table. I learned shortly that my credit cards had been maxed out, my bank accounts emptied, my retirement and equity portfolios had vanished, and my wife had been thrown out of our home. Apparently, the waiters and their families were moving in. The President hadn't moved or spoken as I learned all this, but finally I lowered the phone into its cradle and turned to face him.
"Andrew's whole family has made bad financial decisions. They haven't planned for retirement, and they need a house. They recently defaulted on a subprime mortgage. I told them they could have your home. They need it more than you do."
My hands were shaking. I felt faint. I stumbled back to the table and knelt on the floor. The President cheerfully cut his meat, ate his steak and drank his wine.
I lowered my eyes and stared at the small grey circles on the tablecloth that were water drops.
"By the way," He added, "I have just signed an Executive Order nationalizing your factories. I'm firing you as head of your business. I'll be operating the firm now for the benefit of all mankind. I looked up. The President dropped his spoon into the empty ramekin which had been his creme brulee. He drained the last drops of his wine.
As the table was cleared, he lit a cigarette and leaned back in his chair. He stared at me. I clung to the edge of the table as if were a ledge and I were a man hanging over an abyss. I thought of the years behind me, of the life I had lived. The life I had earned with a lifetime of work, risk and struggle. Why was I punished? How had I allowed it to be taken? What game had I played and lost? I looked across the table and noticed with some surprise that there was no game board between us. What had I done wrong?
As if answering the unspoken thought, the President suddenly cocked his head, locked his empty eyes to mine, and bared a million teeth, chuckling wryly as he folded his hands.
"You should have stopped me at the dinner roll," he said.
Wake up, America!
I checked my coat, was greeted by the Chief of Staff, and joined the President in a yellow dining room. We sat across from each other at a table draped in white linen. The Great Seal was embossed on the china. Uniformed staff served our dinner. The meal was served, and I was startled when my waiter suddenly reached out, plucked a dinner roll off my plate, and began nibbling it as he walked back to the kitchen.
"Sorry about that," said the President. "Andrew is very hungry."
"I don't appreciate..." I began, but as I looked into the calm brown eyes across from me, I felt immediately guilty and petty.. It was just a dinner roll. "Of course," I concluded, and reached for my glass. Before I could, however, another waiter reached forward, took the glass away and swallowed the wine in a single gulp.
"And his brother Eric is very thirsty." said the President.
I didn't say anything. The President is testing my compassion, I thought. I will play along. I don't want to seem unkind. My plate was whisked away before I had tasted a bite.
"Eric's children are also quite hungry."
With a lurch, I crashed to the floor. My chair had been pulled out from under me. I stood,brushing myself off angrily, and watched as it was carried from the room.
"And their grandmother can't stand for long."
I excused myself, smiling outwardly, but inside feeling like a fool. Obviously I had been invited to the White House to be sport for some game. I reached for my coat, to find that it had been taken. I turned back to the President.
"Their grandfather doesn't like the cold."
I wanted to shout - that was my coat! But again, I looked at the placid smiling face of my host and decided I was being a poor sport. I spread my hands helplessly and chuckled. Then I felt my hip pocket and realized my wallet was gone. I excused myself and walked to a phone on an elegant side table. I learned shortly that my credit cards had been maxed out, my bank accounts emptied, my retirement and equity portfolios had vanished, and my wife had been thrown out of our home. Apparently, the waiters and their families were moving in. The President hadn't moved or spoken as I learned all this, but finally I lowered the phone into its cradle and turned to face him.
"Andrew's whole family has made bad financial decisions. They haven't planned for retirement, and they need a house. They recently defaulted on a subprime mortgage. I told them they could have your home. They need it more than you do."
My hands were shaking. I felt faint. I stumbled back to the table and knelt on the floor. The President cheerfully cut his meat, ate his steak and drank his wine.
I lowered my eyes and stared at the small grey circles on the tablecloth that were water drops.
"By the way," He added, "I have just signed an Executive Order nationalizing your factories. I'm firing you as head of your business. I'll be operating the firm now for the benefit of all mankind. There's a whole bunch of Erics and Andrews out there and they can't come to you for jobs groveling like beggars."

On Friday evening, the House of Representatives passed the American Clean Energy and Security Act (ACES), a well-intentioned but misbegotten Frankenstein monster of a bill intended to combat climate change. Republicans Mary Bono Mack, Mike Castle, Mark Kirk, Frank LoBiondo, John McHugh, Dave Reichert, and Chris Smith joined 211 Democrats to put the bill over the top 219-212. Showing the profiles in courage typical to elected politicians, about three dozen Democrats hung back during the roll call until passage was certain, waiting until they could safely vote no without riling their party’s leaders.
As its sponsors struggled to make it palatable to representatives from energy-producing states, the bill swelled from 942 pages to just over 1,200, leaving undecided members little time to digest the new material. This brings to mind Rep. John Conyers’s admission to Michael Moore that members of Congress “don’t really read most of the bills” they vote for, because it would “slow down the legislative process.”
Two weeks after his election as president, Barack Obama said, “Few challenges facing America and the world are more urgent than combating climate change. The science is beyond dispute and the facts are clear.” Shortly thereafter, more than 100 scientists signed a newspaper advertisement responding, “With all due respect Mr. President, that is not true.” The scientists, from places as varied and esteemed as Los Alamos National Laboratory, the American Physical Society, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Princeton University, and the University of Pennsylvania, said the “case for alarm regarding climate change is grossly overstated.”
But even many who are not skeptical about global warming found things to dislike in ACES. Rep. Dennis Kucinich, who voted against it, said, “It won’t address the problem. In fact, it might make the problem worse.” Kucinich faulted the bill’s “Enron-style accounting methods” and allocation of $60 billion for Carbon Capture and Sequestration, “a single technology which may or may not work.” Kucinich faulted the corporate welfare embedded in the bill, saying that the “trillion dollar carbon derivatives market will help Wall Street investors,” with any benefits “passed through coal companies and other large corporations, on whom we will rely to pass on the savings.”
“I take climate change seriously,” libertarian economist Megan McArdle wrote last week. But she said the projections for ACES’s “effect on global warming are entirely negligible,” and any hope that U.S. passage of the bill will “persuade China and India to get on board” is “entirely wishful thinking on the part of American environmentalists. China is not going to let its citizens languish in subsistence farming because 30 years from now, some computer models say there will be some not-well-specified bad effects from high temperatures. Nor is India.”
Indeed, United Nations data suggest that ACES will reduce global warming by 0.07 of a degree Fahrenheit by 2050. In exchange, the U.S. risks sparking a trade war with those two massive economic powers when their own near-certain failure to act results in U.S. sanctions. While the Congressional Budget Office says ACES will drive up the average family’s energy bill by about $175 per year by 2020, that does not take into account the larger economic cost.
A Center for Data Analysis study concludes ACES will hurt the gross domestic product by $9.4 trillion by 2035 and cost the average family $1,241 per year. That’s because, as the Wall Street Journal put it last week, “the whole point of cap and trade is to hike the price of electricity and gas so that Americans will use less. These higher prices will show up not just in electricity bills or at the gas station but in every manufactured good, from food to cars.” A British analysis finds the average family there is paying nearly $1,300 a year for carbon-cutting programs that were introduced just a few years ago.
As Obama himself said during his run for the Democratic presidential nomination, “Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Businesses would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that cost onto consumers.” Meanwhile, reductions in consumer spending will necessarily mean a decline in production which could eliminate more than 1.1 million jobs.
This is an awful lot to pay for legislation that will not reduce global warming and will not encourage other major economic powers to become more environmentally conscious. Maybe next time, Congress should read the bill before voting on it.

These People Truly Hate America

Like much of the country, you may have spent your time last week snickering about the peccadilloes of yet another hapless politician who couldn’t keep his pants zipped. Or maybe you were captivated by the untimely but predictable passing of the most talented musical freak of the last quarter century. Perhaps while watching the ABC-Barack Obama dog-and-pony show purporting to deal with the future of your health care system, you were deceived into thinking that this was the big issue of the week. If so, you would be wrong. Make no mistake, it is on the agenda, but the real threat of the moment was simmering up on Capitol Hill in the United States House of Representatives.
Far too many Americans were distracted by other things to notice that on Friday, June 26th, 211 House Democrats and 8 Republicans defiantly thumbed their noses at the will of their constituents and passed the largest tax increase in the nation’s history.
The “Cap-and-Trade” bill will likely kill two or three real jobs for every so-called green job it creates. If this bill passes the Senate, the president’s signature will make it the law of the land. If that happens, look for your utility bills to increase by fifty percent. Expect gasoline to rise to last summer’s levels and above. Count on the cost of food, clothing and anything else affected by fuel prices — in other words, everything — skyrocketing.
In fact, “skyrocket” was the exact word Obama himself used last year to describe the inflationary effects of this legislation, even as he promoted the idea during his presidential campaign. Obama told voters at that time that his cap-and-trade proposal “will necessarily cause energy prices to skyrocket.” That was a striking admission from a presidential candidate, on a par with Walter Mondale’s startling statement at the 1984 Democratic National Convention that he would “raise your taxes.” (The fact that John McCain is no Ronald Reagan has a great deal to do with Obama not losing every state but his own like Mondale did, but that’s a column for another day.)
As we look back on Barack Obama’s first six months in office, one of two things must be true: the man either believes his policies are good for the country (in which case he is a fool), or he knows those policies are destructive to our economy and he is promoting them anyway (in which case he is every bit the autocrat and Marxist many of us warned he was during the campaign). I have come to believe the latter, but either way we have a long, expensive ride ahead of us.
For those who supported this president out of frustration with either John McCain or with George W. Bush, is it not obvious to you yet that Barack Obama hates America? Those of you who thought Jeremiah Wright was an anomaly in this man’s life, can you now see that this preacher of hate was just part of a long chain of negative, anti-American influences on Obama?
Rather than the Founders of this country, Barack Obama’s heroes have always been terrorists, felons and anarchists. Where most presidents revere Thomas Jefferson, the author of the Declaration of Independence, and James Madison, the father of the Constitution, this president’s role models have been domestic bomber Bill Ayers and Marxist Saul Alinsky, whose “Rules for Radicals” contains the blueprint for tearing a free America from its underpinnings and replacing it with a repressive nanny state.
As militant as this president is, he is not alone in his extremism. The Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, D-CA, a woman two heartbeats away from the presidency herself, is perhaps even more radical than Obama, if that is possible. Pelosi and her counterpart in the Senate, Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-NV, have thus far done this president’s bidding. That may change, especially in the Senate, but one thing is clear. These people hate the America you and I love, and they will do whatever they can to alter it forever.

Obama's Muslim Speech
Hi friends.
I don't know if you were able to listen to any of Obama's speech to the Muslim people, but there was something about it that disturbed me and angered me. First, I find it ironic that a group of people (liberals) who are so adamant about separation of church and state are quick to make peace with the religion of Islam. It is not like Obama was trying to make peace with a country, but a religion. He does not want the Muslims to be offended by anything America may do or has done. Why doesn't President Obama try and make nice with other religions, particularly the Christian faith? Many, if not a very good majority of Christians are offended with the careless attitude regarding abortion today. When is this dialogue going to start? Our president would rather make peace with our enemy than protect his own citizens.
With the recent killing of Dr. Tiller in Kansas, Pro-Life organizations have unequivocally gone out of their way to condemn the actions of the killer and yet many people still want to call us pro-lifers terrorists. But after 9/11, how many Muslim organizations came out and condemned what had happened? If there were any, I do not remember seeing it. And now our President wants to treat the Muslims as if we did something wrong and look at our faiths as a bunch of people who are terrorists. They claim that Islam is a religion of peace, but last time I checked, so is the Christian faith. I don't remember that last time a Christian be-headed someone in the name of God.
I don't get it. This president is allowing congress to spend us into debt up to our grand-children and is busy taking over American privately owned industries. He is sympathizing with our enemies who have made threats to kill Americans. Correct me if I am wrong, but is he not over-stepping his oath of office to protect and uphold the constitution? Is some of this not grounds for impeachment? The chances of that happening are pretty slim at this point in time, but I would be willing to bet there are a lot more Americans who are just as disgusted as I am right now.

This ruling is in direct conflict with a Ninth Circuit Court ruling in the Nordyke v. King case in California, which said that the Second Amendment IS incorporated through the due process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.
The Supreme Court may take up this issue of incorporation during its next session beginning in October, because attorneys in the Maloney case plan to appeal in late June.
So, JUDGE Sotomayor ruled against our Second Amendment gun rights in Maloney v. Cuomo. If the Maloney appeal is accepted by the Supreme Court (as is likely)... would JUSTICE Sotomayor recuse herself from deliberations? At the very least, these questions MUST be asked; her nomination must NOT be rushed through, and her qualifications and out-of-the-mainstream ideological beliefs MUST be examined thoroughly. Please, do the RIGHT thing -- REJECT President Obama's Supreme Court nominee, Judge Sonia Sotomayor, due to the fact that she is a judicial activist who opposes the Constitutional right of an individual to keep and bear arms. King case in California, which said that the Second Amendment IS incorporated through the due process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment.
The Supreme Court may take up this issue of incorporation during its next session beginning in October, because attorneys in the Maloney case plan to appeal in late June.
So, JUDGE Sotomayor ruled against our Second Amendment gun rights in Maloney v. Cuomo. If the Maloney appeal is accepted by the Supreme Court (as is likely)... would JUSTICE Sotomayor recuse herself from deliberations? At the very least, these questions MUST be asked; her nomination must NOT be rushed through, and her qualifications and out-of-the-mainstream ideological beliefs MUST be examined thoroughly. Please, do the RIGHT thing -- REJECT President Obama's Supreme Court nominee, Judge Sonia Sotomayor, due to the fact that she is a judicial activist who opposes the Constitutional right of an individual to keep and bear arms. Memorial Day 2009 is a Solemn Occasion

On Sunday morning of Memorial Day weekend, my family and I gather at a small rural cemetery on a windswept hillside, surrounded by rich Iowa farmland, as the local chapter of the Veterans of Foreign Wars honors the men buried there who served in all of America’s wars, from the War of 1812 to Operation Iraqi Freedom.
An aging VFW honor guard provides a 21-gun salute, followed by a lone bugler playing Taps. Some of the men being honored there were teenagers when they lost their lives in battle. Some came home to raise families and grow old in that community, or perhaps they settled there after their war years to start a whole new life. Still others migrated elsewhere before returning home to live out their final years and be buried in that little cemetery.
Whatever their circumstances, they are remembered each Memorial Day at this brief ceremony. Among the names of those who served in World War I is that of my maternal grandfather. He and my grandmother settled there in the 1930s and made the community their home. They are buried together in that little cemetery.
For the past ten years, my father’s name has been among the interred who served in World War II. As a 22-year-old NCO on Eisenhower’s staff during the planning for D-Day, only a freak accident resulting in a broken ankle kept him from sailing across the English Channel on June 6, 1944, with the rest of the invasion force. Like most WWII vets, he never talked much about his wartime experiences, but he did tell us about that one, and I believe it always haunted him that the young man who took his place that day was one of the first to fall on Omaha Beach.
Until this year, I had always viewed this special Memorial Day ceremony as a celebration of the lives of ordinary men who rose to the occasion in the worst of times to do extraordinary things. This year, I felt a sense of sadness and resentment for those men, because their country is now led by a man who believes that America is an arrogant nation that needs to apologize to the rest of the world.
From the bloody, mustard gas poisoned battlefields of World War I to the beaches of Normandy, from the freezing cold of Korea to the rice paddies of Vietnam, from the deserts of Iraq to the mountains of Afghanistan, these brave men set aside their own personal hopes, dreams, goals and lives to serve us when we needed them most. They fought for an ideal this president cannot even fathom and about which he apparently cares nothing.
I hear people say, “He’s not one of us,” almost as if he’s a space alien. I know what they mean, and I agree. He is not a loyal, patriotic American, and I am tired of pretending he is anything other than an underprepared, slick-talking Marxist. He is a radical ideologue whose worldview is global and whose loyalties lie somewhere other than with the nation that has given him so much.
I miss my father. I wish he had lived beyond the mere 76 years he was given. Hardly a day has passed in the last ten years that I have not wished that I could ask him the questions I failed to ask when I thought I had another year or another month with him, or to tell him how much I appreciate the sacrifice he and his generation made to preserve my freedom.
But when I see the President of the United States travel to Europe and refuse to go to a U.S. military cemetery in France — even at the invitation of the French president — I am glad my father did not live to see it. When I see my president stand before crowds of Europeans, all of whom, without the intervention of my country — twice in one century — would be speaking German today, I am ashamed for the honor of my father and my grandfather.
May God grant us the endurance and the fortitude to stand against the evil of this president’s ideology and agenda, and the wisdom to replace him with the next true patriot who runs for that office.

Franklin Roosevelt "Historically"
I never really knew President Roosevelt for what he really was. I always looked up to him historically because of I am in such awl of ww2 veterans and what they did. He was the "Commander in Chief" He died before the war ended but hands down our soldiers kicked butt! He deserves alot of the credit as the president for winning the war!
The New Deal! by a democrat president Roosevelt and overwhelming Democratic Congress...What harm could this combination do? "The Great Depression" should be renamed
"The Greatest Democratic Years"

Budget Cuts???
I would like to point out something that has happened that no one seems to realize "The Truth" about... May 7th 2009 Obama announced that he made 17 Billion dollars in cuts to the budget. Now like most people I thought what a joke... but the truth really is that no cuts in money were made, only cuts in programs. For example; money to widowed police officer wives and the military F-22 program.
This means the spending levels were set already before Obama made his announcement. In short he Lied (Again)

I was reading your e-mail about kicking your self for not telling more people about what was going on... would they have listen? the left have been "Conditioning" our kids for years.
1) What's happening now is long time in coming and yet the full impact will not be felt or realized by people until they get their check and its been shredded by tax by all the spending that's going on. Trust me they are working today on how to blame this on Bush or anyone else and it will sound believable! Joseph Goebbels would be proud of our news press!
2) It has taken years of slowly chipping away at everything we believe in, to get us where we are at. It will take years to restore us to a point where we are not in such despair.
3) I have hundreds of letters and e-mails from senators and house members, (I stopped the letters because i am running out of room to store them now i use e-mails). After years finally only now do i feel like we can begin to stop the slow take over of our lives, liberties and religion. I have been called a nut "don't talk to dad about politics" ect I have told everyone i know at work, family...but no one seems to care, because the "left" have clung to the good works and hard labors of honest people like a virus to make us sick of our own selves and then bring down everything.
So what do we do, where do we start? We need to start by getting info out to people about the truth of our elected officials. What did they vote for, what is there record. Did they make deals that left us hanging out to dry? did the judges allow child molesters go free? did our school board members vote correctly?
What is a moderate politician? He's the guy you can't depend on! What does he believe in? he/she is the guy who stands on deals not beliefs! He's the one who will sell out for a vote! So who are the moderate politicians? Most people have no clue! or even that being a moderate is a cop out!
These type of people need to be exposed and elected out of office. People need to know what they do and who they are. At election time all you get is a guy smiling at you standing with his family on a post card saying he has made a difference...What does that mean?
Liberals don't compromise there beliefs,and neither should we. they just change the words or phrase to make it sound like what it is not. i.e. "The fairness doctrine" global warming is now "Green" who cares that most scientist don't believe that man is the cause or that it is even happening.
We need to set up a means of showing people who they are so that someone does not vote for someone based on "he looks ok to me" Our Tea Party should have a local and state preference rating for elections. If one vote makes a difference imagine what a couple of hundred or a thousand can do to an election!
Before the April 15th rally I was preparing for the worse, but now I see true hope! If we start chipping at the stone now, we have a chance.
I have numerous sites for sending e-mails regarding current events. If you would like i could gather some and send them over. It's easy to do and alot of the emails are already written for you, but almost all of them let you add your statement to it.

Las Vegas Trip
I do not think that tax payer money should go to those huge corporations going to Las Vegas. However, I also do not think that it is necessary for Obama to go there and help raise money for a Senator. It will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to transport all the personnel to Las Vegas for his trip plus all the equipment. As far as I know that is tax payer money as well that I really do not think needs to be spent, especially on Harry Reid. Just my opinion.

Barack Obama’s Irrelevant Religiosity

When Barack Obama told Rev. Rick Warren last year that knowing when life begins is “above my pay grade,” he was splitting hairs at a molecular level, and in so doing he told us more about himself than he may have realized. This president is more adept than any in recent memory at appearing pious while believing in nothing — except, of course, in the god of big government and the hedonism of radical autonomy.
As I write this, the president is in South Bend, Indiana, receiving an honorary degree from Notre Dame University at the graduation ceremony of that venerable Catholic institution. The church officials responsible for the university have managed to convince themselves that this most enthusiastic of pro-abortion presidents is somehow deserving of an honorary doctorate — in law, no less — from an institution that professes to be a leading proponent of the sanctity of innocent human life.
Apparently, being a community organizer who “helped the poor” on the streets of Chicago twenty years ago somehow negates the vicious pro-death policies he has embraced since. As an Illinois state senator, he voted to condemn newborns to die in closets after botched abortions. As a United States senator, he voted to allow full-term babies to be aborted up to the moment of birth simply because they were inconvenient. And now, as president of the United States, he advocates the destruction of human life for the purpose of embryonic stem cell research, he has ordered the export of abortion beyond our shores, and he has promised to sign a tyrannical policy known as the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA), which would sweep away every federal, state and local restriction on abortion — including parental notification, the federal ban on partial birth abortion, and the conscience clause, which permits medical personnel to opt out of involvement in abortion procedures.
The Vatican has been silent on the president’s appearance at Notre Dame. I am not a Catholic, but it appears to me that this appeasement of the culture of death by the highest levels of the Catholic Church has effectively neutered the church as an ally in the fight for the sanctity of innocent human life. Obama, perhaps better than any politician in history, understands how to emasculate the institutions that oppose him. It’s as if, having waved his magic wand, he has blinded those who should be his greatest opposition and convinced them to aid him in furthering his agenda.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the world, in Afghanistan, American soldiers are helplessly watching as their privately owned Bibles are being confiscated and burned — not by the Afghan government, which would be outrageous enough, but rather by the U.S. military! That’s right. Because of a story on the Muslim-controlled Arab television network, Al-Jazeera, and because of the protests of a few atheists, the Bibles are being seized by Barack Obama’s Pentagon and burned!
These Bibles were printed in Pashto and Dari, the languages of Afghans. They were sent to American Christian soldiers and chaplains by private donors. They were meant for distribution to American troops who were attending Christian church services on bases in Afghanistan. American military officials admit that these Bibles could be useful to U.S. soldiers in learning the languages of their hosts. Also, under Army regulations, these Bibles could legally be given as gifts to Afghan citizens during the soldiers’ off-duty hours. No matter; we must appease a few disgruntled Muslims and even fewer disgruntled atheists.
According to former Navy Chaplain Gordon J. Klingenschmitt, who has recently publicized this story, U.S. Central Command’s General Order Number One defines “proselytizing” as “forcing religious conversions using military weapons.” However, writes Klingenschmitt, the Order “fully permits soldiers of any religion to engage in non-threatening evangelism,” defined as “voluntary conversations about their faith.”
So, what are American Christian believers to conclude about their president? Is he truly a reasonable leader willing to listen to all points of view and to “disagree without being disagreeable”? Or is he a defender of Muslims, atheists and a culture of death at the expense of Christians and of the Christian faith he claims to embrace? His actions, combined with his irrelevant religiosity, seem to indicate the latter.

Klingenschmitt, who has recently publicized this story, U.S. Central Command’s General Order Number One defines “proselytizing” as “forcing religious conversions using military weapons.” However, writes Klingenschmitt, the Order “fully permits soldiers of any religion to engage in non-threatening evangelism,” defined as “voluntary conversations about their faith.”
So, what are American Christian believers to conclude about their president? Is he truly a reasonable leader willing to listen to all points of view and to “disagree without being disagreeable”? Or is he a defender of Muslims, atheists and a culture of death at the expense of Christians and of the Christian faith he claims to embrace? His actions, combined with his irrelevant religiosity, seem to indicate the latter.

Nebraska's "Right To Be"
After several hundred notes, cards, meetings and thousands of phone calls -- a vision and plan for a free and prosperous Nebraska has emerged. The attachment to this e-mail gives an outline for action. That action will cause building of citizen-teams across this great State and region to work on 1) State Sovereignty, 2) Right to own property, 3) Immigration law enforcement, and 4) for a limited tax system void of federal/state income taxes and inheritance tax. This system of local neighbor-to-neighbor, friend-to-friend, business and social contacts, professional meetings, etc. allows for quick networking and confidence building. Much of our initial effort will be in educating ourselves and others about renewing Americanism and being winners. Our route back to strong economic communities with American values and our Sovereign State (having limited Federal ties) is an easy sell. The non-political foundation for freedom allows broad based support.
These grassroots efforts were a culmination of elected representatives (at all levels) and some businesses showing poor leadership over the last several decades. Recently our Federal Government has put the destruction of our current way of life and freedom on fast track. Now Nebraskans are choosing to take back our State.
To help coordinate our restoration efforts, a website called www.PeoplesLiberty.net is being assembled. This website will be a "go-to" place for coordinating team-building, training and education seminars, collecting and distributing information from groups and websites across Nebraska and other interested States. This will assist local Meet-Up Groups, 912 Project input, taxpayer organizations, freedom and sovereignty sites, etc. to display their data and endeavors. Our goal is to have this website functioning by June 15, 2009.

We have an item called "Overview of America" that explains how "who owns the economic tools" coupled with "good morality" impacts the success or failure of a culture. Also a DVD called "Thomas Paine" (an 18th century patriot who helped write our U.S. Constitution) that shares his thoughts about today's U.S.A. Also we have another DVD of the "We the People Rally" in Hastings, NE, April 13, 2009. This DVD is an inspiring event to be shared with all about a cross-section of Americans renewing hope and committment. Its simplicity and celebration is proof that miracles still happen.

Becoming an Economic Switzerland
What is that? Well, for what is Switzerland in Europe known? It is a place where people and companies can place money (property) and not be taxed on their property. Why make the necessary changes? What does it take for Nebraska to do the same? And how to get it done.
Why make changes? Over the years we hear from state senators, chamber of commerce enthusiasts, and economic development teams that to bring in more industry and jobs, we’ll cut taxes! Here is an observation and fact – our legislature and local governments have no intention on cutting taxes. Currently, 1) our state taxes revenues are down over 30% because of free trade and too many taxes. 2) State spending is going up 1%, and furthermore, 3) our Governor and Legislature are borrowing $1.5 Billion from the Federal Government (Stimulus dollars) thereby increasing taxes for all people and businesses.
As we visit with these political leaders, they all admit this is not going to work and yet none had the courage to confront this mess and stop a run-away financial debt-train. Senator Utter, District 33, says he is too busy to worry about it. Being a banker-senator, Utter knows this current situation is financial suicide for Nebraskans and not sustainable. We are watching our non-representative representatives do business as usual where lobbyists rule and voters lose.
What does it take? Recently there were rallies across this great state (and nation) to where folks from all ages, skills, and heritage came together to celebrate what has made our culture and country strong. During and since those events in April 2009, interested people have shared issues and contact information to take back our communities and country from our non-representative representatives and leading un-American businesses. The groundswell of involvement to re-establish our core values in leadership is proof that miracles still happen. As people network to make a difference, there are four primary arenas of effort that will result in a Nebraska becoming a go-to place for family values, jobs and industry, investment, profitable agriculture, unbiased education, responsible and wholistic health care, and freedom, etc.
Arena 1 - Establish state sovereignty. We will restrict Federal services to areas of National Defense / border control, providing lawful money for exchange, and keep any state(s) from ganging up on another states(s). Freedom-loving citizens no longer will have ‘big brother’ telling us how to live/operate.
Arena 2 – Establish the right for citizens / Nebraska companies to own property. Currently the counties own all property wherein if the owner does not pay taxes, the county sells the property. Also companies that leave money in business accounts from one fiscal year to the next are taxed nearly 30% of that money amount.
Arena 3 - Legal and illegal immigration enforcement. A country of a common culture and language is critical to purpose, strength, and economy. Nebraskans are spending at least $1.5 Billion each year for medical, education, energy/rental assistance, and food stamp programs for families (individuals) who are here illegally. Some businesses and political leaders along with educational bureaucrats support non-enforcement. Well, non-enforcement supporters, change is coming!
Arena 4 - Tax Reform. The principle of “if you use it, you pay for it” is part of a responsible citizenry. Whether it’s roads, courts & prisons, education, retirement plans, or medical & mental services, the users will hold those service providers accountable. The ‘free lunch’ attitude will disappear. The State of Nebraska will pay our Federal Government our per-capital cost for the contract services our state citizens agree to, like national defense. State and Federal income taxes will cease to exist in Nebraska. To support a very limited state bureaucracy and a state militia, a consumption tax (FAIR Tax) is very probable.
How to bring these changes? As citizen teams across this state gather and discuss the ‘how-to’, involvement will come from the whole spectrum of Nebraska individuals and associations. These meetings will result in statewide petitions to update our state constitutions in the four arenas discussed. This week, our State of Nebraska Attorney General, Jon Bruning, and Governor Heineman were put on notice in writing regarding State of Nebraska Constitutional violations that occur by taking and using Federal Stimulus dollars to balance our state budget. We’ll see if our Attorney General will represent Nebraska citizens 1) about the state spending dollars that we do not have and 2) by enforcing our State Constitution – it is Nebraska citizens’ main safeguard against government tyranny!
Summary - When a hint of these plans and purpose get out to mainstream U.S.A., there will be an avalanche of capital, business, manufacturing/jobs and families wanting moral and economic freedom coming into Nebraska. Other states will most likely follow our lead creating strong communities, states, and country alike. Becoming an economic Switzerland can and will happen. Stand up for America and get involved. We will succeed!

Eligibility attorney plans return to Supreme Court

California attorney Orly Taitz, who has taken cases challenging Barack Obama’s eligibility to be president to a number of courts across the nation including the U.S. Supreme Court, says she’ll be returning to the high court, this time seeking a petition for the extraordinary writ of mandamus.
“As Attorney General Eric Holder and U.S. Attorney Jeffery Taylor did not institute Quo Warranto and did not respond, I will go back to SCOTUS,” Taitz announced today on her website.
“As you know, I am being crucified for every little error, so I have sent the draft to a couple of attorneys, paralegals, technical consultants and language consultants, to give me their input and I will file in a few days,” she said.
“Bottom line, I will be filing until I get an answer,” she wrote. Taitz was the lead attorney earlier representing military officers from the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines when they cited Quo Warranto, a legal right established in British common law nearly 800 years ago and recognized by the U.S. Founding Fathers, to demand documentation that may prove – or disprove – Obama’s eligibility.
What are you hiding?
Barack Hussein Obama obviously has something to hide. He obviously knows how to keep a secret when it comes to releasing his Birth Certificate; the one document that could bolster the argument that he is, in fact, eligible under Article 2, Section 1, of the United States Constitution to hold the office of President of the United States.
And yet, Barack Hussein Obama has no problem sharing information that SHOULD remain secret to the entire world and to our enemies.
Case in point! The Obama Administration just released secret memos and photographs that detail the interrogations of terrorists that were being held in American custody.
Obama authorized the release of these photographs and memos in spite of the undeniable fact that releasing these memos and photographs places the lives of our intelligence operatives and their families in imminent danger.

It's becoming more and more clear, with each passing day, that the issue surrounding Obama's refusal to release his Birth Certificate and prove his eligibility to hold the office of President of the United States goes much deeper than initially thought.

States Rights Letter
Dear Governor Heineman,
I am writing to let you know that I oppose using federal "stimulus" dollars to balance our state budget. In addition to opposing it on the basis of sound financial planning and fiscal responsibility, I believe it it unconstitutional for the federal government to appropriate money for this purpose. I also believe that it goes against our state constitution to accept money in this way. I strongly urge you to consider not signing the budget as presented, and to oppose taking federal funds from the "stimulus bill".
We need to assert our sovereignty as a state, and refuse any more federal intervention in state business. Federal intervention in state's rights has been a problem for a long time, and it has gone way over the line in this current administration. It is time to stand up against the federal bureaucrats, join some of the other states (Texas, Oklahoma, Utah, Montana) in reestablishing our state's rights.
